The MAXIMS Order Communications and Result Reporting (OCRR) System provides a safe, powerful and effective platform for electronically ordering and viewing results.
Diagnostic tests and treatment services can be ordered instantly, eliminating the delays, bottlenecks and errors of paper-based systems. A scalable, web-based solution, it has been implemented on single sites and distributed multi-site organisations and is accessible across the entire EPR system.
KEY BENEFITS
MAXIMS OCS functionality provides improved order protocols that helps to eliminate unnecessary variability in patient care
Reduced administration time on diagnostic systems
Secure and confidential results
MAXIMS OCRR supports Pathology and Clinical Imaging services but readily extends to other services e.g. Cardiology, and Endoscopy Infographics points:
The Order Comms and Results Reporting module allows diagnostic tests and treatment to be ordered
MAXIMS OCS functionality supports multiple workflows within the hospital
MAXIMS Order sets supports multiple item scheduling
MAXIMS OCS Module supports new clinical practices
Extensive workflow support for Order Comms and Results Reporting
MAXIMS provides a comprehensive toolset for the creation and management of order catalogues
Operating as a fully integrated part of the MAXIMS EPR or as a standalone OCRR system, MAXIMS OCRR offers interoperable technologies that allow communication with a wide range of diagnostic and clinical department systems. Web-based services also deliver messaging capabilities to support integration with third party systems. Correspondence Builder, the MAXIMS reporting application allows users to create reports based on any data items, allowing scheduled or on demand printing or screen display.
MAXIMS OCRR enables Pathology, Clinical Imaging and other Departmental requests to be made from Inpatient and Outpatient locations. The system is highly configurable allowing it to support the required workflows, provide demand management and clinical decision support, display user-specific ‘favourite’ Investigations for easy selection, avoid unnecessary specimen collection or counter-indicated Investigations and supports Positive Patient Identification for collection of specimens. Role-based access controls user access to data and functions throughout the system.
