Practice Plus Group (PPG) opens new Birmingham hospital in just 100 days

We are proud to announce the successful opening of Practice Plus Group’s (PPG) new hospital in Birmingham, which welcomed its first patients on the 23rd of September. A fantastic launch event was held with guest of honour Dr Hilary Jones MBE, the celebrity GP and health advisor best known for his ITV appearances.

This remarkable achievement not only showcases the dedication and efficiency of PPG's small yet dynamic team, who adeptly managed multiple projects while working towards this milestone, but also highlights the effective partnership with IMS MAXIMS in implementing the MAXIMS Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

IMS MAXIMS has proudly served as PPG’s EPR supplier since 2006, and we are honored to have been selected as the supplier for this new hospital. This collaboration continues our digital journey, ensuring that PPG has the tools and technology necessary to deliver exceptional patient care.

Typically, opening a hospital is a complex process that can take several years and requires extensive planning, construction, staffing, and regulatory approvals. However, PPG accomplished this ambitious project in just 100 days, demonstrating a remarkable level of efficiency and commitment.

In a time when healthcare demands are increasingly pressing, PPG's dedication to enhancing community health is more important than ever. The new facility is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and staffed by a team of skilled healthcare professionals committed to ensuring patient well-being.

This achievement underscores PPG's operational excellence and unwavering dedication to patient care and community service. It sets a new benchmark for what can be achieved under pressure and serves as an inspiring testament to the power of teamwork in pursuing a shared vision.
