IMS MAXIMS first supplier to achieve conformance against PRSB e-Discharge Summary Standard v2.1

We’re thrilled to announce that MAXIMS v16.2 has earned the Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) Quality Mark for Level 3 compliance with the e-Discharge Summary Standard v2.1.

Established in 2013, the PRSB develops clinical standards for health and care records. The PRSB introduced its Standards Partnership Scheme to support software suppliers to successfully implement information standards into digital solutions to enable better care and interoperability. IMS MAXIMS became a PRSB partner in 2021.

The e-Discharge Standard enables hospitals to safely transfer standardised clinical information using PRSB headings and coded data (SNOMED CT and dm+D) to GP IT systems during a patient's discharge. This ensures that GPs have access to all relevant patient Information, including diagnosis, medications, procedures, and allergies, to improve the quality and consistency of care.

We look forward to continuing our work with PRSB in our pursuit of excellence through continuous improvement and upholding the highest standards.

Many congratulations to IMS MAXIMS for achieving a Quality Mark for their conformance against the eDischarge Summary Standard, which is fundamental to improving patient safety and continuity of care. This should be the norm for all suppliers and well done to IMS MAXIMS for leading the way.
